Our team has almost 60 years of combined field experience from plumbing and pipe fitting, HVAC, electrical, and fire protection.  This experience allows our team to engage the design components, the same way sub-contractors in the field would and finding the optimal solutions that maintain design, significantly reduce RFIs and change orders later, enable almost immediate fabrication of trades upon purchase and receive more accurate bids from trades.

Our Team

Clayton Lyons

President

Clayton Lyons is the President of Prefix DfMA, LLC.
Clayton has over 30 years experience in designing and coordinating complex MEP systems. He has developed Prefix’s methodology for high-fidelity modeling. This is combined with an in-depth knowledge of prefabrication techniques to deliver lean design and assembly solutions.

Clayton has worked with high profile owners, design teams and CMs to deliver fabrication-level models early in the process, accelerating project delivery and reducing cost. Clayton has worked with mechanical and plumbing contractors as well, setting up fabrication facilities and improving means and methods of digital design as well as physical assembly processes. Throughout his career, Lyons has modeled and coordinated Billions of dollars of work spanning from iconic fine arts museums to state-of-the-art laboratory projects.
